Son of Richard Cody (a farmer) and Honora Burke. Allocated to Castletowngeoghegan Station, County Westmeath on 29th February 1924. Apart form being the first gardai to open that station, he was also among the first to open Gorey Station, County Wexford. Married Anna Patricia Boyd on 21st Janaury 1931 in Sandymount Church, Dublin. Retired on 15th April 1964 and resided in Died 21st January 1983. His brothers were Gardai: Richard Cody (Reg No. 1345 -Killed in Line of Duty in 1952) and John Cody (Reg No. 6145) |
