Patrick Leo McMackin was the son of Thomas McMackin (a Teacher) and Mary Gillen. He was a Weights and Measures Inspector for the Civic Guards. Married Bridget Coyle on 12th February 1929 in Kilmacrenan, Milford, County Donegal. He was a prominent rower for the Gardai. Retired and resided in Westbrook, Buncrana, County Donegal. Died on 2nd June 1982. He is buried in Cockhill Cemetery, Buncrana. His brother was also a Garda: James McMackin (Reg No. 2470). |
