James Alolysius McMackin was the son of Thomas McMackin (a Teacher) and Mary Gillen. Married Annie Arnold on 23rd November 1927 in Daingean, County Offaly. They had five children. Retired and resided in Borrisokane, County Tipperary. Died on 20th July 1977. He is buried in Borrisokane. His brother was also a Garda: Patrick McMackin (Reg No. 2469). |
