Daniel James McCormack was actually born in Lanarkshire, Scotland. He was the son of Hugh McCormack (a Farmer) and Margaret McMenamin. Married Rose Clifford on 11th November 1922 in Raphoe Church, County Donegal. Was the first Garda Sergeant in Kilfenora, County Clare upon arriving on in June 1923. Retired and resided in Culdaff, County Donegal. Died on 30th December 1964 in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. He is buried in Saint Eunan's RC Church Cemetery, Raphoe. |
