Charles James Coleman was the son of Declan Coleman (a Shopkeeper) and Julie Johnston. During the War of Independence he served as Lieutenant in Dungeel Old IRA Company. He played football for Kilkenny and received a Championship Medal in 1926. Retired and resided in County Kerry. He never married. He enjoyed fishing as a past time in the River Laurne. Died on 7th February 1996. He is buried in Ardmoniel Burial Ground, Killorglin. |
