Thomas Duffy was born in Glenbeigh, County Kerry. He was the son og John Duffy (Sergeant RIC) and Mary Kate McCarthy. Married Mary Burke on 7th December 1932 in St. Andrew's Church, Dublin. Died while serving from illness on 16th December 1961 in Adelaide Hospital, Dublin. He is burried in Ballyglass Cemetery, Mullingar, County Westmeath. His brother was also a Garda: Chief Superitendent Hugh Duffy (Reg No. 5151). |
