| Further Notes: | Jack Gleeson was the son of Martin Gleeson (a publican) and Delia Begley. Married Marie 'Maura' O'Dea on 27th August 1940 at Ballyvaughan, County Clare. They had two daughters. He was mainly stationed in Kinvara, Co. Galway, where he held the rank of Sergeant. Died while serving on 10th December 1948 at Galway Central Hospital, aged 45.He is buried in Mountcross Old Graveyard Kinvara. He was the cousin of Garda John King (Reg No. 5588) who died in Service in 1926 and Garda Michael King (Reg No. 4476) of Kilkishen, County Clare. | ||
